What carbon removal is
Carbon removal means taking carbon dioxide that is already in the air and storing it away for good. It works alongside cutting emissions, and the technology is still young, so early funding helps it grow and get cheaper.
How our 1% gets there
Stripe, the company that processes card payments for us, runs a program called Stripe Climate. Businesses that join choose a share of their revenue to contribute, and Stripe directs it to carbon removal projects that scientific experts have reviewed. We chose 1% of every payment.
Nothing for you to do
There’s no sign-up and no extra charge. Booking your visit or paying a bill is all it takes.
Where it goes
Stripe pools what businesses like ours give and funds permanent carbon removal through Frontier, a program that vets the companies doing the removing. You can read about it on Stripe's own page: stripe.com/climate.
